Thank you for stopping by. Do you want to know more about Twisted Sisters Productions? Visit our website. If you want to know more about me, you're in the right place! I hope you have already reviewed my resume (or CV) and/or my teaching and research philosophy. You can learn even more about work experience, work ethics, and preferences here. What can I do? I excel at fast-moving, complex, and dynamic challenges. Develop curriculum Teach you how to teach Teach you how to develop content Troubleshoot Brainstorm Measure effectiveness Get things done Communicate Build relationships Take risks Develop strategy Build simple websites Design logos Make decisions What is my capability for independent work? (Working without direct supervision on individual and team-based projects.) I work well independently and can thrive in an ambiguous environment. For instructional design projects, I use a content development plan that includes a set of objectives to provide the direction, specifications, and development timelines. I welcome feedback and criticism on my work and enjoy working alone or with a team to complete projects. What is my experience designing under a style/branding guide? I have experience developing instructional materials using a style/branding guide for both a large company (Cardinal Health - 50,000+ employees) and for a smaller company (HTRI - 100 employees). At Cardinal Health, we had two sets of style/branding guides - one that defined corporate standards (color schemes, writing/graphic styles, corporate tone/messaging expectations) and one that defined a more training-specific set of standards (use of relevant graphics, tracking of graphics use, tone/jargon use). At HTRI, we used a corporate style guide that defined the expectations for technical writing, use of trademarks, acceptable abbreviations, trademarks, and nomenclature. For all of my own projects, I develop a style cheat sheet to document the fonts, colors, and other specifications. What is my leadership experience, including classroom teaching, mentor, project management, etc.? My leadership experience spans my time as a student at Texas A&M University and throughout my professional career. I have worked as an instructor at Texas A&M University, Blinn Junior College, and University of Phoenix Online for various courses. I have supervised part- and full-time employees throughout my professional career. During my last position (HTRI), I was responsible for the planning and execution of approximately 20 training events (held worldwide) and a minimum of 12 webinars annually. I managed course development and curriculum decisions for the company's training catalog (approximately 25 courses). I am the co-founder of the Piper Faust Memorial Scholarship Fund, an organization that raises funds and awards scholarships for college students who participate in equine activities. |
My other passion is barrel racing - competing in and producing barrel racing events.
